Most people do not want care. They want their own kitchen, their own chair, their own routine, and the freedom to carry on being themselves. Care is simply what makes that possible when washing, dressing, cooking or remembering the tablets has become harder than it used to be. That is the whole of our job: to give back the parts of the day that have slipped away, and to leave everything else exactly as you like it.
Novaedge Services Limited is a domiciliary care provider based in the centre of Huddersfield & Kirklees. We support adults in their own homes across the Metropolitan Borough of Kirklees, including Huddersfield, Dewsbury, Batley, Holmfirth, Mirfield, Cleckheaton and the Colne and Holme valleys.
We support adults aged 18 to 65, adults aged 65 and over, people living with a physical disability and people living with dementia. We are a small, deliberately local service, run by two named people you can actually reach. That is not a limitation we are apologising for. It is the design. When the person answering the phone at nine in the evening is the same person who wrote your care plan, problems get solved instead of logged.
Get in TouchSupporting adults aged 18 and above with tailored, person-centred care.
Specialist care designed for older adults to maintain independence at home.
Speak directly with the people responsible for your care, not a call centre.
We operate from an office in the centre of Huddersfield, and every hour of care we provide is delivered in someone's own home. No care is delivered at the office. It is where the rotas are built, the training happens and the on call phone sits.
Our service is led by a Registered Manager who came into care from the front line, not from a boardroom, and who holds the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care. She is supported by a Director and Nominated Individual who holds provider level accountability for governance, finance and regulatory compliance. Between them they cover the service 24 hours a day. There is no call centre and no answering service.
We are also, quite deliberately, a digital service from day one. Every visit is checked in and checked out through electronic call monitoring, so a late or missed visit raises an alert automatically rather than waiting for someone to notice. Medicines are recorded electronically. Care plans are on a secure system that families can be given access to. None of this replaces a kind pair of hands at the door, but it means the office knows within minutes if something has gone wrong.
You will not be passed between departments. One of the two managers is on 07934 583993 at all times, including nights, weekends and bank holidays. If you ring at seven on a Sunday morning because your mother has had a fall, a manager answers.
We rota for familiarity, not just availability. That means fewer carers, seen more often, who know how you take your tea and which cupboard the good towels live in. Continuity is not a luxury add on. It is the single thing families tell us matters most, and it is the thing that most agencies quietly give up on first.
Kirklees is one of the most diverse boroughs in Yorkshire, and we recruit accordingly. Food, faith, language, modesty, washing preferences, prayer times, the gender of the person helping you undress: these are not extras to be accommodated. They are the care plan.
Call 07934 583993 or email hello@novaedgelimited.com. It is a conversation, not a sales call, and there is no obligation.
We come to you, at a time that suits, and we listen before we suggest anything. We look at the home for safety while we are there.
We write it with you, agree exactly what will happen and when, and put the cost in writing before anything starts.
You meet the people who will be coming, before the first visit, not on the doorstep.
We check in early, review formally at least every six months, and sooner whenever anything changes.
Letting someone into your home is an act of trust, and we do not treat it casually. We will be honest with you about what we can and cannot do. We will tell you the price before you ask twice. We will send people you have met, who have been properly checked and properly trained. And if we get something wrong, you will hear it from us first, with an apology and a plan, not a defensive letter three weeks later.
That last part is a legal duty called the duty of candour, and we are glad it exists. But we would do it anyway, because a service that cannot admit a mistake cannot learn from one.
Ready to talk it through? Call Novaedge Services Limited on 07934 583993, or email hello@novaedgelimited.com. A conversation costs nothing.
